This honey is collected by our bees from Alfalfa blossoms in Central California.  It has a mild, pleasant flavor that makes it an ideal everyday honey. Spread it, blend it, or use it as a sweetener in any recipe – one ingredient, a multitude of possibilities!
Alfalfa Honey is known to help with arthritis and cardiovascular issues like arteriosclerosis in addition to its anti-inflammatory, antioxidant, antibacterial and antiseptic. Like all honeys, alfalfa too contains varying amounts of a natural antimicrobial known as hydrogen peroxide. Hydrogen peroxide forms as a result of the interaction between the sugar glucose and an enzyme from honey bees called glucose oxidase.
